CRIBE Lab Presents CRIBE Lab at DigitalFUTURES CDRF 2026, UNSW Sydney

Students Ziqi Liu and Wenhuan Qin from Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School represented the Climate Responsive and Intelligent Built Environment (CRIBE) Lab at the 8th DigitalFUTURES International Conference on Computational Design and Robotic Fabrication (CDRF 2026), hosted on UNSW Sydney’s Kensington campus. Centred on the theme “Circular Intelligence”, CDRF 2026 assembled the global community working on computational design and robotic fabrication.

Research Presentation: Interactive Building-Integrated Wind Turbine Prototype

Our students presented the lab’s latest design research on responsive and interactive building-integrated wind turbine prototypes. This work leverages parametric design and physical-experiment-driven morphological optimisation for subtropical coastal urban environments. It explores how parametric workflows and physical testing can boost micro wind turbine performance and develop interactive facade installations adapted to subtropical coastal cities.
